Natural family planning or, NFP, is the use of natural, biological signs of fertility to help determine the fertile and infertile times in a woman’s monthly cycle. Identifying fertility each cycle can help a couple to either avoid or achieve pregnancy. It is a safe and natural way to either conceive or postpone pregnancy.
The Marquette Method was developed by researchers at Marquette University. It modernizes NFP by using the Clearblue Fertility Monitor to aid in determining fertility each cycle. The monitor measures the levels of two fertility hormones by performing a simple, at-home, daily urine test. The results, coupled with a calendar algorithm, help to objectively and accurately identify the fertile time each cycle.

The Marquette Method is incredibly effective! Research has shown 97-99% effectiveness at avoiding pregnancy when used under the expert guidance of trained Marquette Method instructors – all of whom are healthcare professionals. From being without cycles when breastfeeding or postpartum to the inconsistent and difficult perimenopausal time and everything in between, Marquette will work for you in every phase of life!

I received my BS in Kinesiology in 2004 and my Master's Degree as a Physician Assistant in 2006. I've worked in Cardiology and Critical Care Surgery/Trauma in the past and became a Marquette Method instructor in 2016. I am thrilled to be able to utilize my medical knowledge to educate women and couples on the Marquette Method of NFP while I am currently home raising my two children.

"My husband and I initially tracked with STM, but wanted to have something more objective for postpartum NFP. I am absolutely thrilled with Jackie as an instructor! From being able to do virtual postpartum instruction to her availability by text, she has made the transition painless, even with our first little one."~ Katelyn A.
